Tourism now sees big threat from other cities
Anyone who reads gay magazines knows other cities are competing hard against San Francisco for gay tourists. Now, the San Francisco Convention & Visitors Bureau finally seems to be taking that threat seriously. This month, the agency is launching its first national ad campaign for gay visitors. Running in six regional and national gay mags and newspapers, the campaign features 10 images seen through viewfinders (example, above) of digital cameras, showing stuff gay folks might enjoy here. The ads prompt visitors to go to a new gay page at Only in San Francisco.
